Eagleby Learning College is a quiet achiever among Logan schools.

The college nestled among trees and green space in Herses Road, Eagleby, supports the local mainstream schools by catering for students wanting to continue their education outside the traditional high school setting.

ELC offers an alternate option for the community to access their QCE, (Queensland Certificate of Education), along with a range of programs from traditional QCAA school subjects to a growing list of vocational certificate offerings.

ELC has grown with the addition of two extension campuses and is now known as South East Region Learning Colleges (SERLC). Students can access our programs at Eagleby, Helensvale and Varsity on the Gold Coast.

The college achieves great success in reducing barriers to learning for students, resulting in achieving the 7th largest cohort of Year 12 graduates in the south east region in 2021.

School is not for everyone but education and qualifications for further study or employment are even more essential than ever before. SERLC has created an alternate educational environment where the student can completely focus on their learning and have success.

The college is an Education Queensland Centre for Continuing Education. Doing school differently, the college runs Year 10, 11 and 12 but focuses on core subjects, prerequisites for further study and practical certificate offerings linked to employment pathways.

The staff are very passionate about giving students’ an alternate opportunity to complete their education and this is reflected in growing rates of successful graduates every year.

The motto ‘Success STARTS here…’ reflects the notion that no matter what your previous experience in education has been, you have a second chance at SERLC.

No uniform is required at any campus but there is an expectation that students are required to be positive, present, and productive. The college recognises difference in all individuals and welcomes all who simply wish to complete their schooling.

With no limits on catchment areas, the college enrols students from 15 years old, including adults who want to complete their high school education or vocational education certificates at an accelerated pace.
