This Halloween, Macarthy Road Childcare will provide a safe space for the local community to trick or treat however due to circumstances out of their control and inclement weather predicted on Halloween, the event has been moved.

With the event being moved, it will give kids and families an extra day to get dressed up and party. The new date is Sunday, November 8 from 3pm to 6pm.

The childcare will transform into a Kids Halloween Spooktacular including a “Haunted House” and trick or treat stalls from local businesses. The event will also feature kid-friendly activities including live music, free face painting, a jumping castle and giant Jenga and Connect 4 games.

The event will be a COVID-19 safe event to ensure the safety of the local community. The purpose of the event is for the local children of Marsden and the greater area to have a safe space to trick or treat.

Early Birds Marsden, also known as Macarthy Road Education and Childcare, was the first childcare centre built in the Marsden/Crestmead area in 1987 by the Bird family, who still own and operate the centre today. The dedicated owners, Karen and Gavin Bird, have over 40 years’ experience teaching in early childhood and primary education between them.
