Bethania local and half of the group Route 66, Michael Pack, was live on stage at the Bethania Community Centre today for the Centre’s free monthly music morning tea.

Michael is born performer who has been singing for more than 55 years and signs a variety of music from all the early eras, 50s, 60s, 70s and some 80s.

Although the crown numbers were not huge, the people who attended enjoyed every minute of the show with a few couples getting up and having a dance to different songs.

Bethania Community Centre vice president Gail McKenzie McKinnon said that it was great to have Michael at the Centre performing.

“He is a wonderful performer and a really nice guy.

“The songs he sings brings back memories of when we were growing up and he can really work a crowd of any size.

“Michael selects songs that suit the people in the room and interacts with the audience, even taking requests from the floor.
