The morning before lockdown (June 29), Woodridge Police Beat were pleased to be able to host their very first local Coffee with a Cop at ‘Coffee on Wembley’.

The police were glad to see so many come along to join them, from local community members to those working with the local support services and some of the local business owners too.

“It was great to host an open forum for people to voice their concerns and have open conversations with their local officers on varying topics,” a police spokesperson said.

“Feedback was so positive that we are looking into the possibility of hosting further Coffee with a Cop events soon.”

Acting Sergeant Rod Enoch said it was a great turn out for their first locally run event of this kind.

“It was lovely to get together in a social setting to share a cup of coffee with those who were able to come along.

“We all enjoyed and valued having the opportunity to chat causally about peoples’ local concerns, questions and generally getting to know them more.

“We look forward to similar future opportunities to engage with our local Woodridge community again soon.”
