If you are in the Underwood area and find the smell of perfectly roasted coffee beans in the air you are probably close to the award winning Simply Beans.
This week, owners Deborah and Giuseppe (Joe) Anapo celebrated 10 years of business with a party for all of their staff and people who have helped them get to where they are today.
The business was born in 2009 roasting in Joe’s home garage. In 2010, realising that there wasn’t a Coffee Roaster in the City of Logan or in the greater Brisbane area, Joe moved the business to Underwood and a 50sq metre premises on Logan Road.
After another move to the current Compton Road premises, Simply Beans has grown into a one stop coffee house, with a buzzing Espresso Bar, Retail Shop and selected wholesale clients from all around Australia.
Simply Beans takes pride in blending and roasting coffee with passion and precision. Joe has over 40 years’ experience in the hospitality industry across numerous areas from 5-Star Dining to Master Roaster; his knowledge and passion is extensive.
While Deb and Joe told some wonderful stories of how they got to where they are, they were both very thankful for their staff and to all of their customers and supporters.
Simply Beans continues to grow both nationally and internationally yet still offer the wonderful customer service Logan City small businesses are known for.
