Beenleigh Tennis and Pickleball Centre has taken a huge leap forward in 2020 despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
This amazing facility, which includes eight hard-courts, two synthetic grass courts, seven dedicated Pickleball courts, a viewing deck, and a fully stocked pro-shop, sits adjacent to Club Beenleigh and the award winning Bull N Barra restaurant.
Popular coaches Kiel and AJ from “FuturePros Tennis” have created an amazing family atmosphere, whilst providing expert coaching at all levels. Their presence at Beenleigh Tennis Centre has been pivotal to this success.
Activities include “Drills & Skills”, “Cardio Tennis”, “Squad Training”, as well as all standards of coaching and fixtures. Come down and have a chat to the coaching team - and don’t forget to say “Hi” to Jessie - the Blue and Gold Macaw who welcomes all our players from her perch.
Everybody knows about tennis of course, but the participation in Pickleball is soaring every day! The obvious thought in many minds remains - What is Pickleball?
In a nutshell - Pickleball is a game played on a quarter sized tennis court - with solid paddles and a plastic wiffle ball. It was created in the 1960’s in the USA, but has seen a recent surge in popularity throughout the world. Pickleball can be played by all ages, and by people of any fitness level and skill set. It’s very easy to learn and fun to play - great for the whole family.
Outdoor activity is crucial to staying healthy as the COVID restrictions slowly ease. Social interaction is also extremely important for mental health. Beenleigh Tennis Centre has a wide range of COVID complaint social activities and events to help people get back into the community.
