The weekend saw a huge deluge hit the City of Logan which saw roads and parks flooding with many residents having issues with local streets getting damaged.
The City of Logan is now making sandbags available to residents ahead of more forecasted heavy rain.
Low-lying parts of the city have experienced flash flooding as a result of weekend rainfall and more inundations are expected today and tomorrow.
Residents are urged to get prepared and remember If It’s Flooded, Forget It!”

Sandbags are available to collect now from the Logan East SES Depot, 26-36 Winnetts Road, Daisy Hill.
Collection of sandbags from other Logan City Council depots is not available.
Residents will need to collect their own sandbags, if this is not possible, please contact the SES on 132 500 to make alternative arrangements.
Council is currently assessing damage to the city’s road network and has closed a number of roads.
Logan SES received 26 requests for assistance over the weekend, mostly for leaky rooves.
No flood warning is current for the Albert and Logan Rivers.
