City of Logan ratepayers can receive their quarterly rates notices by email and help council become more green and help the environment.

City Governance Chair Councillor Natalie Willcocks said Logan City Council’s online rates portal was a quick and convenient way for people to access their rates notice.

“You can securely make payments, request emailed notices, view past payments and notices, see your current balance and add multiple properties to the same account,” Cr Willcocks said.

“With close to 125,000 rateable properties in the city, Council generates a lot of printing to issue the quarterly rates notices.

“That’s why we offer the online option to ratepayers, and I encourage people to consider using it.”

To register, ratepayers can visit myportal.logan.qld.gov.au/registration and fill out the online form. After confirming an activation email, registration will then be complete.

Cr Willcocks said ratepayers could change their delivery method at any time.

She said new property owners could register for online rates notices after receiving their first rates notice. Rates notices are issued in January, April, July and October.
