International travel might be off the cards right now, but City of Logan seniors don’t have to look far to enjoy their retirement.

A fantastic range of social and lifestyle opportunities for seniors is available locally and information about some of the best will be on display this October.

The popular Logan Loves Seniors Day returns on Friday, October 1.

This year’s event will be in a new location – the Logan West Community Centre on Wineglass Drive in Hillcrest.

City Lifestyle Chair Cr Laurie Koranski encouraged those who hadn’t attended Logan Loves Seniors before to mark the date on their calendars.

“It is our privilege and delight to host this event each year in support of the senior members of our community,” Cr Koranski said.

“Our seniors have given so much to our city over the years and this event is an excellent way to help them stay informed and inspire them to keep dreaming big, even when life slows down.”

Event attendees can get information and advice on topics including:

• superannuation law

• retirement

• rent assistance

• in-home care

• financial planning and investment

Gardening and craft workshops, cooking demonstrations, woodworking and exercise and mindfulness classes will also be on offer.

This year’s event will also include the Rocketman Flying Solo Show.

Tickets are available online at Logan Loves Seniors Day.
