Logan students can keep busy during the coming school holidays with an array of activities from Logan Libraries to enjoy at home.

Curious young minds can enjoy a free virtual kitchen chemistry workshop presented by Street Science via Google Classroom.

Children will have the chance to make their own slushies using science skills.

Participants will need to gather the materials they need at home before taking part.

Young creatives can also enjoy free illustration sessions.

The different sessions for primary and high school-aged children on Wednesday, September 23 will feature artist, author and song writer Gregg Dreise.

The sessions will include an engaging musical and storytelling session titled My culture and me.

There will also be character drawing and story board sessions.

All sessions hosted by Mr Dreise will be held online via Zoom.

Families can also collect STEAM swags at their local library that include science or robotic activities.

Children’s curiosity will be sparked through the home robots which will allow them to investigate coding.

Free plant, plane, engineering, dreamcatchers and clay creations kits will be available to be reserved online for pick-up at the local library branch.

Register to join in a session full of ideas on how to use these different kits or share some ideas and creations of your own.

These free virtual sessions will take place throughout the school holidays via MS Teams.
