Commencing July 2021 Logan residents and businesses can opt in to receive a fortnightly green bin collection service from as little as $1 a week. A choice of three size bins will be available (140lt, 240lt and 360lt) to cater for all requirements.
While this option is being introduced to help residents who cannot make it to the tip to remove their green waste, the dumping of green waste at Logan Council tips will still remain free.
The green waste recycling bins will be an easy, convenient, and affordable way to dispose of garden waste. All properties with a kerbside bin service can register for a green waste bin. The bins will be able to accept general green garden waste, including grass clippings, palm fronds, prunings, weeds, leaves and small branches.

When opting in for the new green waste recycling service, residents and businesses will receive a bin with a lime green lid. The waste from these bins will be collected fortnightly and will be mulched and turned into compost at a composting facility.
This is not just limited to home owners as both property owners and tenants can apply for this service. There is a maximum of two bins per property and fees will apply.
To register your expression of interest, go to: https://www.logan.qld.gov.au/green-waste-recycling.
The Logan Council Waste team will contact everyone who has registered in early 2021 to formalise and process registration. Green waste bins will be delivered in mid to late June with the service commencing 1 July 2021.
