The economy all over the country is having a real hard time and there is no end in sight for the struggles of small businesses.

One business in Logan has come up with a unique initiative to not only help small businesses and the economy, but also to give people a bite to eat.

Patinos Personal Lawyers, with a base in the heart of Meadowbrook, will be for the next seven weeks giving away the good ole meat pie from bakeries all over the City of Logan.

Today the team started with Meadowbrook Bakery and to launch the new initiative gave away 100 meat pies. They didn’t last long with all 100 going before 11am.

Starting on Monday July 22 and going through till Friday July 26, Meadowbrook Bakery with the support of Patinos will give 20 meat pies per day away to the first 20 people that come in.

Shannon Fentiman MP for Waterford and Minister for Employment and Small Business and Minister for Training and Skills Development was at the pie giveaway and said Meadowbrook Bakery is a wonderful small business and one of our other local small businesses Patinos Lawyers are actually helping this small business.

“They are giving away 100 pies today to the first 100 people through the door and 20 pies each day Monday to Friday.

“A great way to support local business and the local community”, said Ms Fentiman.

With Patinos Personal Lawyers just across the road from the Meadowbrook Shopping Centre it was the perfect choice for the team to launch their pie giveaways.

Owner of Patinos Personal Lawyers Colin Patino said come down and get your free pie from Meadowbrook Bakery.

“Support the local businesses, support local community. Buy a cake, buy a drink with it and watch the economy in Meadowbrook boom even in difficult times”, said Colin.

In 2017 Patinos Personal Lawyers helped the local area by supporting Logan House Fire Support Network and the pair are working together to spread the word of this great idea.

Louie Naumovski from Logan House Fire Support Network said this is a great initiative by Patinos Lawyers who have helped us out in the past.

“By helping small businesses recover after the COVID crisis is a great initiative and it is wonderful having the small business minister here with us today”, said Louie.

Over the next seven weeks there will be more pies given away on a daily weekday basis from bakeries all across Logan. To find out where and which bakery keep tuned to www.facebook.com/livinginlogan and www.facebook.com/LoganHouseFireSupportNetwork for all the important information.
