December 18 saw Logan emergency crews, politicians from all three tiers of government and other volunteers converge on Woodridge Fire Station to sort through donated presents and lollies for the 2021 Logan Emergency Services Santa Run.
The Santa Run, which takes place on Christmas morning, is organised each year by Louie Naumovski from Logan House Fire Support Network and senior members of the Woodridge Fire Station.
For the past few months, Mr Naumovski has been working tirelessly collecting toys, lollies and other gifts to be given to the children along the Santa Run and most importantly to sick children who will spend Christmas in Logan Hospital.

Some of the businesses who have donated items include the Friendly Grocer Crestmead, Logan Funerals, Bunnings, Patinos Personal Lawyers, Quell Fire Safety, IKEA Springwood, Wing Drone Delivery, Hobby One Underwood, The White House of Waterford, Lighthouse Care and Faraway Treats Underwood.
Mr Naumovski said the last couple of years has been great bringing joy to many children’s faces.

“Just like before we will be departing Woodridge Fire Station on Christmas Day and travelling the streets handing out lollies and donating the presents kindly donated to those children in need and at the Children’s Hospital.
“We will be departing Woodridge Fire Station at around 8.15am to 8.30am and the streets listed on our Facebook page will be the path we are taking.

“We are unable to give exact times of where we will be, but we will be constantly updating on our page on Christmas morning.
“We thank the many sponsors and donors for their generosity this year to put smiles on the faces of the kids that will sadly be spending Christmas morning in hospital.”
