It is that time of year again where the Beenleigh Yatala Chamber of Commerce get ready for their biggest event of the year, Prawn Day.

Tickets have been on sale for only a short time and have already sold out of the Silver Service tickets but still have a limited number of general admission ones left.

Prawn Day is in its 26th year and is a nonstop four hours of partying, eating, and drinking of a few quality beverages.

The day is held at Gold Coast Tiger Prawns in Woongoolba and this year will be on Friday March 10.

Prawns are fresh from the farm and strait to plate and of course it is all you can eat, until you are full or sick of peeling the crustaceans.

This year the Chamber of Commerce has secured sponsorship from Great Northern Brewing Co. De Bortoli and local rum producer Beenleigh Artisan Distillers ensure there is a drink for most tastes.

Over the course of the five-hour event, there is live music, prawn peeling competitions, mini-bus tours of the farm and plenty of raffles to be had.

The day brings in businesspeople from all over Logan and surrounds, councillors, state MPs and often federal members of parliament making it a great place for relaxed networking.
