A diamond ring worth $6,000 and $10,000 in cash prizes were given away last weekend when Springwood Mall celebrated the completion of its new look with a huge weekend of events.
Spinning the wheel in the Spin N Win competition on the Saturday to win the $6,000 lab-grown diamond ring was local resident Lysa, who was shocked at the result.
When collecting her ring from Andreas Efhtivoulou of Ridge Jewellers, who worked with Springwood Mall to provide the ring, Lysa shared that she had never won anything before.
On Sunday 27 August, the winner of the major cash prize of $6,000 was local Springwood resident Salma. Other cash prizes of $2,000, $1,000 and two $500 cash prizes were also drawn, along with a kids’ cubby valued at $2,000.
Accompanied by her father Les to accept the prize, Salma said she was ‘overwhelmed’ with the unexpected win.
“I entered several times over the last few weeks,” said Salma.
“We are regular shoppers here and love the renovations that have been done.”
Salma has never been overseas and is planning to use the money to travel to the UK to visit family members.
Springwood Mall Marketing Manager Donna O’Neill said the weekend of celebrations, entertainment and over $20,000 in giveaways and prizes was a huge success.
“We have been given great feedback about the centre’s new look, our new restaurants and cafes and how fresh and modern Springwood Mall now feels, which is fantastic,” said Donna.
“All of the stores are now leased, and the final fit outs are underway, so the centre’s redevelopment journey is now complete.”
