Detectives are appealing for information from the public following an alleged shooting incident in Underwood on Monday night.

The matter came to the attention of police on Tuesday afternoon after a 27-year-old man attended a local hospital with a suspected gunshot wound.

Further inquiries by detectives indicate a disturbance occurred in the carpark at 2912 Logan Road, Underwood at about 7pm on Monday, September 12.

Initial investigations have identified a group of unknown males at the carpark of a business, filming a video, when two vehicles, one containing the victim, approached them and an alleged incident has occurred.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have seen this incident or who has dash camera footage or CCTV, particularly in the Underwood area of Logan Road and Kingston Road to contact police.

As a result of the alleged incident, the 27-year-old man sustained facial injuries. He is in a stable condition and yet to be spoken with by detectives attached to Operation Dagobah.

The QPS established Operation Dagobah, made up of members from the Crime and Intelligence Commands’ Organised Crime Squad and Gangs Group, and Brisbane and South Eastern regions, supported by specialist resources from Operations Support Command, to spearhead investigations into incidents between two rival groups.
