Police are appealing for public assistance in relation to a suspicious behaviour incident that occurred in Beenleigh on Tuesday, July 11.

Initial information indicates between 8pm and 8.40pm, a woman was walking along Teys Road when she was approached by a black van.

The woman has told police a man got out of the vehicle and grabbed her by a hoodie she was wearing.

Another car approached causing him to release the woman, get back in the van and leave the scene.

An 18-year-old Edens Landing woman was not physically injured in the incident.

A woman driving past saw the woman on the side of the road looking distressed and drove her home. Police are seeking to speak to this woman to assist them with the investigation.

Police are also seeking assistance to locate a black van that was observed in the area around the time of the incident.

It is described as matte black in colour, with visible rust and other signs of deterioration.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or particularly anyone who may have dashcam vision or CCTV from Teys Road in Beenleigh or Wuraga Road in Holmview between 8.10pm and 8.40pm on July 11, is asked to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
