Logan City Council has been out to Bega Road, Kingston to clear away a lot of the rubbish left in the bushland and on the road by night-time dumpers.

The large boxes packed with more rubbish, broken up wood, tree matter, a bed, couch and lots more was all collected by a crew on Wednesday March 29.

A concerned parent of a Kingston Learning College student said it was great to see it cleaned up.

“There is always so much rubbish here and almost everyday there is something new left from the night before.

“It is a health hazard and dangerous for our kids and when a lot of it ends up on the road, it is not safe to drive here for school drop off and pick up.

“I am glad to see the council acted on it and hope they can fix the problem for the sake of the forest and safety of the kids.”

Council’s Illegal Dumping Taskforce is continuing to work on stopping illegal dumping.
