There is one intersection in Bethania that residents have been calling on Council to fix for many years due to how unsafe it is for anyone coming into the suburb.

Albert Street and Station Road intersections have been the cause of many crashes and can be confusing to drivers who have not used it before. While confusing, the lack of drivers stopping at the stop signs is also another factor.

Albert Street and Station Road Intersection

This morning Shannon Fentiman MP for Waterford, Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Minister for Women and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence said this is a huge win for Bethania.

“Our community has been calling to make the intersection at Albert Road and Station Road safer for years. It is one of the most dangerous intersection across Waterford.

“So it is fantastic news, that Cr Hall and Logan City Council have finally committed to upgrading the intersection with traffic lights on every corner, a pedestrian crossing and new footpaths.

“This is all thanks to the efforts of our local community rallying together and calling for safer roads.”
