It was a big year of dressing students and individuals for the team at Formally Ever After and 2024 is set to be even bigger.

Tammy Robinson met with 1510 students and individuals at the FEA dressing rooms, giving away formal attire to help make the night of people in need.

“Our main purpose is to outfit students who need help, but we also help many others who just need our support, that’s what we do,” said Tammy.

“We assist those who are struggling to attend their formals.

“We are based in Logan but have supported students from all over Australia, we even supported a young lady from the UK this year.

“We have helped students and individuals from over 250 plus schools and organisations.”

Of that 1510 people helped, around 50 brides were fitted with wedding dresses so they could enjoy their magical day.

In the lead up and during the colder months, FEA did a winter clothes drive that helped two other not-for-profit organisations and made 65 Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gift bags with help from the community.

“We take new and used formal wear and accessories and gift it on to those who need a helping hand up,” said Tammy.

“1510 students and individuals attended their special events looking fabulous and feeling empowered, because of all of you.”

A new addition to Formally Ever After this year was the Formal Ticket Drive. This initiative allowed anyone to donate any amount of money to selected schools to help pay for student’s formal tickets.

A total of $4,120 was donated giving many students who were going to miss their formal due to the cost, a chance to attend.

On top of all this, FEA assisted providing casual clothing and shoes to two local youth groups, supported a local school play, shared donations with four communities, supported My Wedding wish and Bravery box, supported a local schools Hair & Beauty program, supported Mountain Mates Dancing with Celebrities, supported the Logan Elders Ball, Tenterfield Naidoc Ball, Aurukun PCYC Ball, supported Project Booyah students and much more.

“We’ve been supported by so many amazing organisations and individuals, far too many to name, but they have always gone above and beyond, and I thank them so much.”
