Police are investigating after a building was destroyed by a fire in Boronia Heights overnight.

Around 1.15am a fire has started in the Fedrick Street building and destroyed four adjoining businesses.

It is believed Rainbow Mandarin Buffet Chinese restaurant, as well as Gothic Realm tattoo studio and a barbershop have all be lost to the fire.

The fire is believed to have started sometime after 1am and investigations are continuing to determine the cause of the fire.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with further information or anyone with relevant vision of the area to contact police.
