The Beenleigh Yatala Chamber of Commerce (BYCC) took to the greens at Beenleigh Bowls Club last night for their second annual Christmas Bowls party.
Sponsored by Club Beenleigh, board members and other chamber members and friends took to the greens barefoot and ready to bowl over the competition.
One of the few times you will see an MP with their shoes off is on the bowls greens as MP Bert van Manen took time out of his busy schedule to play a few games.
The challenge was to take down reigning champs Gatecrash Security as they have been bragging for the past 12 months.
The event was to crown new champions as the team from Simplicity Funerals took the victory with solid game play.
Mark Ellis from Gatecrash Security said on his Facebook page, “a big congrats to Simplicity Funerals who took the shield from Gatecrash Security under highly controversial circumstances.”
“A big thanks to Club Beenleigh for again supplying the trophies, and to the Beenleigh Bowls Club for being awesome hosts.”
