Police from Jimboomba Police Station have charged two men after responding to a report of two burnt out vehicles in New Beith on April 26.

At approximately 8.10am that day, police located two men allegedly moving items from one of the burnt-out vehicles into their vehicle.

Police conducted a search of their vehicle and located stolen property, drug paraphernalia, ammunition, and multiple home-made firearms.

A 24-year-old Raceview man was charged with possessing dangerous drugs, failing to dispose of needle, two counts of stealing from a wrecked vehicle, unlawful possession of weapons, manufacture weapon whilst not licensed and authority required to possess explosives. He is expected to appear at Beaudesert Magistrates Court, June 6.

A 34-year-old Inala man was charged with two counts of stealing from a wrecked vehicle, possessing dangerous drugs, failing to dispose of a needle, unlawful possession of weapons, manufacture weapon whilst not licensed and authority required to possess explosives. He is due to appear at Beaudesert Magistrates Court, June 6.
