Tucked away in the Slacks Creek Progress Hall, 151 – 153 Barbaralla Drive, Springwood, is the Butter Factory Arts and Craft Co-op that has been a Logan institution for more than 35 years.
The Co-op offers hand crafted gifts made from local retired residents whose ingenuity and humor creates some wonderfully funny items as well as some unique and affordable gifts.
From macrame hat holders to cards, handmade Australiana toys, baby packs, pots and jewelry, the little hall on has something for everyone.
Seniors from around the Southeast corner come along on buses to visit the co-op and there’s always a high tea or Devonshire Tea ready to be served.
Open Monday to Saturday 9am – 3pm, the Co-operative is a warm and welcoming place to venture into and the stocking fillers and gift options for special occasions and Christmas are endless.
If arts and crafts are your thing, or you are looking for something unique, do yourself a favour and pop in.
