The Rotary Club of Beenleigh celebrated with their successful event yesterday with a night to thank all their sponsors.
The Beenleigh Cane Gala Ball and Parade that took place in the middle of October saw the streets of Beenleigh filled with floats from throughout the city and a night of partying and fundraising.
“Last night we came together to celebrate our Beenleigh Cane Gala Ball and Parade events and show our appreciation to our sponsors,” a post on Rotary Club of Beenleigh’s Facebook page said.
“Without them, pulling of this event would not have been possible.
“We’re thrilled to share our total fundraised amount as part of the Beenleigh Cane Gala Ball and Parade events for 2021 is $16,045.”
The money raised came from the volunteers’ shaking tins at the parade, vendor donations, pledges from community partners and gala raffles and auctions.
“We’re excited to get our new Youth Literacy Project off the ground together with Quota Beenleigh Inc. and Soroptimist International of Beenleigh.”
