A 19-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle crash at Cedar Vale earlier today.

Just after 11am, a white Mitsubishi Triton, driven by the man, was driving along Mount Lindesay Highway when it collided with Toyota Landcruiser travelling in the opposite direction.

A 56-year-old man driving the Toyota Landcruiser was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 53-year-old woman travelling with him was also seriously injured and transported to hospital.

An off-duty paramedic rendered assistance to the 19-year-old Calamvale man, however he died at the scene. His passenger, a 54-year-old man, was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Crash investigators are working to determine the circumstances of the crash.
