Starting today, the Fo Guang Shan Chung Tian Temple at Priestdale is celebrating the birth of Buddha with a three-day festival.

The Buddha Birth Day Festival is one of the biggest annual celebrations of Buddha’s birthday in the world and will feature over 150 different events, food stalls, and over 300 performers will be creating magic over the three-days.

Open from 9:00am to 5:00pm Friday and Sunday, and 9:00am to 9:00pm Saturday, this free family friendly event is expected to see 40,000 visitors through the gates of the temple.

Some of the highlights include Lion Dancers, Official Offering Parade, Meditation Sessions, Children’s Storytelling, Baby Blessing, Candel Light Offering, Happiness and Peace Laser Light Show, Chinese Cultural Fiesta, Daily Tea Ceremonies, and much more.
