On Monday September 11, the Logan Prevention and Engagement Unit recruited School-Based Police Officers and Police Liaison Officers units for a colour run at Mount Warren State School.
There was no crime but plenty of green slime as the school raised funds to support programs and opportunities for students.
Everything was going well until some rivalry between Queensland Fire and Rescue Service decided the police uniforms were entirely too clean and that they needed some help to join in the festivities.
Unfortunately, they were unable to stick around for a group photo however rest assured the police returned the favour.
“We appreciate being given the opportunity to engage in positive ways and for good causes where we can,” said Senior Constable Ethan Sorby.
“We are available by request from schools to deliver crime prevention programs and presentations and the occasional engagement community event.”
