The 30-year-old man was being held in the watchhouse pending a transfer to a correctional facility after being sentenced for breaching a domestic violence order.

The man was located deceased during a routine cell check at 5.15pm.

A watchhouse nurse rendered first aid and Queensland Ambulance Officers attended, however the man was pronounced deceased a short time later.
