Detectives from the Logan Major and Organised Crime Squad arrested and charged a 31-year-old man and member of the Finks Outlaw Motorcycle Gang on April 1 with numerous offences including trafficking in dangerous drugs and unlawfully supplying firearms.

The arrest is the result of a joint investigation with the Hervey Bay Criminal Investigation Branch targeting members of outlaw motorcycle gangs attempting to establish a foot hold in the Logan community.

He was due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on April 3.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Adam Baillie said the Logan Major and Organised Crime Squad is focused on the investigation and disruption of Outlaw Motorcycle Gang members who wish to push their harm into the community.

“We work closely with the region to ensure we create opportunities to target their illicit activities in order to make the Logan community a safer place,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Adam Baillie said.
