The local government elections that are set to take place in March have another candidate in the game, with division four the latest area for an announcement.
Lucy Reilly, from Yarrabilba, has made the decision to take the step to nominate and run for local councillor and help the local area she has lived for many years.
Suburbs in Division Four include Bannockburn, Belivah, Buccan, Cedar Creek, Kairabah, Waterford, Windaroo, Wolffdene, Yarrabilba, and part of Bethania, Logan Village and Tamborine.
Having worked for Logan City Council for a decade, most recently as council advisor to Cr Laurie Koranski, Lucy has been on the front line of hearing what the community wants and has learnt how council works on the inside.
Since the age of seven, Lucy has wanted to become a psychologist. While working fulltime, she is also studying psychology and counselling part time because she believes no education is wasted.
Lucy has a passion for serving both in the community and the community itself. Over the years, she has done a lot of fundraising and volunteered in other ways for Cancer Council, a charity close to her heart.
Between work, study and now campaigning, Lucy likes to spend time with her dogs, going for a walk or at the dog park to relax.
