With the final slab recently poured, Ingenia Lifestyle Bethania is currently on track to be the lifestyle operator’s first project in Queensland to completely close out.

The Logan community – acquired by Ingenia in 2015 – will be home to 600 residents upon completion, as Ingenia plans to increase their development pipeline in the state, with four greenfield projects launching in the next 24 months.

With over 200,000 people estimated to move to Queensland over the next five years, Development Director Matt Fedrick said Bethania’s completion will be an important milestone as Ingenia Lifestyle looks to extend its presence in the sunshine state.

“The success of Ingenia Lifestyle Bethania and neighbouring communities at Chambers Pines and Beaudesert is a testament to the state’s appeal with over 50s, both interstate and from within the region,” he said.

“We see enormous potential in Queensland and upcoming projects in the state will provide more homes for downsizers looking for a complete lifestyle change.”

Ingenia Lifestyle Bethania Community Manager, Linda Thompson said she has seen the project come to life over the last five and a half years.

“The constant improvements and additions to the community facilities have been a real draw card for new residents and we receive a lot of positive feedback from residents new and old, about the lifestyle they enjoy here at Bethania,” Ms Thompson said.

Residents at Ingenia Lifestyle Bethania enjoy two well equipped clubhouses offering a range of amenities including function halls, swimming pools, gym, salon, library, media, and meeting rooms, as well as a competition grade 4-lane bowling green and more.

With 97 percent of homes at Ingenia Lifestyle Bethania already sold, the location caters well to the growing population of those aged 50 and over in the Logan LGA, a group forecast to represent 36.7% of the population by 2032.

Bert Rozema, who moved into Bethania three years ago with his wife Helen from nearby Tanah Merah, says the decision to move in came after realising there was a need to downsize.

“We were looking at a bunch of different retirement options around the area and we decided on Ingenia Lifestyle Bethania”, Mr Rozema said.

“It was a combination of things that attracted us to this community – it was the lifestyle on offer and benefits like not having to look after a big garden anymore.

“Before moving in we were unsure how it would turn out, but it was the perfect choice for us, we have more friends now than we’ve ever had.”

As an active member of the Ingenia Lifestyle Bethania community and often involved in the various functions on offer, Mr Rozema says the beauty of living in this type of community is the opportunity to live the life you want to live.

“Calling it a lifestyle community is so fitting because you can truly create your own lifestyle here.

“If you don’t want to do anything you don’t have to, but if you want to get involved in everything like I do, then you can.”

Ms Thompson says she is excited to see the final construction of homes and meet the future residents.

“Our communities are designed to provide a sense of belonging, connection, and wellbeing, and we look forward to welcoming residents into the closing stage of homes,” she said.
