A Marsden fish and chip shop owners advertising trailer was stolen on Tuesday night from the corner of Third and Second Avenue Marsden.

Local community leader and Macarthy Fair Take Away owner Sovannary uk, put his recently shop branded trailer out to help promote his business.

“I was excited about the new signs that I had designed, printed and invested so much into,” said Sovannary.

“I forgot to fit a wheel lock the trailer and that was my fault, but it doesn’t excuse the crime, and it’s not okay to take someone else’s property.

“I was hopeful that this advertising would raise the profile of my business, and I wanted to give back to the community after they have given so much to me.

“I am not standing here to excuse any person who thinks it’s okay to take somebody else’s property.

Thank you for the support, I’ve gotten messages and calls from many people, from government offices to Crestmead and Marsden Neighbourhood Watch and you, my customers, and good friends.”
