The holiday season is in full swing and for some it can be a lonely time of the year. Thankfully there are organisations in the City of Logan that are out to help those with nothing to do or family to visit a place to go in the lead up to the big day.

Thursday nights are becoming a tradition for locals of Beenleigh with the Nightlight street feeds from 6pm – 8pm.

Tomorrow, Thursday 21 December, is the last one of 2023 at the Beenleigh Train Station, and provided there is no rain, it is set to be a big one. There is no cost and there is always plenty of people to talk to.

The crew will be back on the street on February 1 for their next year of helping anyone in need.

On Christmas Eve, Eagleby Community Hall on Fryer Road will be the place to visit. Thanks to Grace Communion Logan, Eagleby branch, there is a free Christmas Eve sausage sizzle and there is free ice cream too.

Santa will also be making an appearance where you can get a free photo with the man himself. All this happens between 3.30pm and 5.30pm.

Christmas Day, ADRA Logan will be hosting their annual Christmas Day Community Breakfast where there will be lots going on.

The free community morning will include breakfast, kid’s activities, Christmas hampers, and live entertainment. The event runs from 7am – 9am. ADRA is located at 31 Station Road, Logan Central.

If you hang around long enough, there will be a special visit from the Logan Emergency Services Santa Run where Santa might be onboard one of the fire engines.

There are sure to be more around the City of Logan, so if you know of one, please share it so people can enjoy the Christmas this year.
