The well known and loved Foodworks, formally Spar for those who remember, will be closing their doors for good tomorrow, Wednesday 2nd June.

For years, the convenience store on Bryants Road has been delivering quality service and products to the community and giving jobs to people of all ages.

The Spar was 24 hours and was a real-life saver for many over the years. With the new owners and branding, the shop changed their operating hours to close at midnight.

With the new Woolworths store opening in Cornubia, business has dropped and has been getting worse as time has gone on giving the owners no choice but to close.

The Hyperdome owns the building so it will be interesting to see what will fill the soon to be empty convenience store.
