International Women’s Day is March 8 and is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
The Queensland Police Service, Logan District Cross Cultural Liaison Unit and The Family Place are inviting residents of Logan and surrounding community members to attend this inaugural International Women’s Day Event “Tenacity“ on Friday March 10.
Taking place at The Family Place, 35A North Road, Woodridge, between 10am and 12pm, there will be a free sausage sizzle, with some nibbles, tea, coffee and fruit.
Music and activities will also be available by The Family Place, Atsichs and YOTs and the kiddies can come for a messy playdate of face painting.
The event is also a great chance to communicate with some of the wonderful local community agencies who will also be attending.
