Tanah Merah business AKIPS, a local software company, were winners at this year’s Logan Business Distinction Awards in the Technology and Innovation category.

The team at AKIPS rolled up in their finest footwear, dazzling dress, and magnificent masks to celebrate their hard work and achievements, at the masquerade-themed awards night.

AKIPS develops the world’s largest scaling network and infrastructure monitoring software, which services some of the most high-profile organisations across the world.

Starting in a backyard shed, the company has grown to employ 20+ employees who work out of their corporate office in Tanah Merah.

Chief Technology Officer Nick Frampton said it was a great feeling to have been able to celebrate AKIPS’s achievements.

“We are so excited to be able to walk away with an award tonight,” he said.

“It was such an honour to have been named a finalist among some of the best businesses in our city, and to have won is amazing.

“Congratulations to all the other winners, and finalists; it is a great achievement to be able to celebrate all of our successes together.

“The team at AKIPS are constantly working hard to deliver the best network-monitoring product in the market, and it is wonderful to see our work recognised.”

AKIPS was up against electric bus innovators Clarks Logan City Bus Service, electronic solution providers HE Tech, and app developers Yodel Digital for the Technology and Innovation award.

Mr Frampton said the AKIPS team enjoyed dancing the night away with their fellow teammates.

“It was a great night for everyone, and a great opportunity for our team to spend time together outside of work hours,” he said.

“We are looking forward to attending many more awards to come.”

AKIPS is also a finalist in the 2021 Australian Small Business Champion Awards, who will hold their awards ceremony next year.
