Greenbank dog owners will soon have the option to purchase boutique collars and book an exclusive pet photo shoot for their fur babies when the newly established business, Canine’s Taleopens its doors in Covella by AVID Property Group (AVID) and Greenfields Development Company.
Recent purchasers in Covella, Relief Teacher Nina Van, 28, and Chef Robin Wang, 30, have used their passion for animals to start their new business venture, selling boutique dog accessories and offering pet photography services to the wider Brisbane region.
Excited to grow their business, Nina said Covella was the perfect location to tap into an untouched market and become the go-to pet shop and ‘pawtographer’ for locals.
“Robin and I started our business back in 2021 inspired by the tale of our very own dogs, Saki the Japanese Spitz, and Coffee the Pomeranian, and now we look forward to reading and sharing the tales of other dogs in Covella,” Ms Van said.
“We chose a block with park frontage to allow future customers the opportunity to visit after shopping our collection or receiving pet photography.
“It’s important for us to capture the story of each dog through our lens – it’s what sets us apart from other pet photographers.
“We look forward to moving in and building our very own community of fashionable pooches!” she said.
Small Business Month in May will pay tribute to more than 473,00 small businesses in Queensland, the largest economic drivers contributing $119 billion annually to the economy.1
AVID General Manager Queensland Bruce Harper said across its five Queensland communities, AVID’s team is proud to be home to many small businesses.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our communities, so it’s important we support and shop local where possible,” Mr Harper said.
“Underpinned by AVID’s mission is the importance of strengthening ties with the local community and continuing our goal of fostering lasting connections with local community groups and businesses important to our residents.
“We are excited to launch a key initiative in our Greenbank community in the near future – a Business Hub – to allow our small business owners to connect and exchange industry insights and advice,” he said.
AVID’s Sunshine Coast’s flagship community, Harmony, established a Business Hub for local small business owners in the community in 2021. Similar to the hub launching in Covella, Harmony members have the ability to promote their business, share industry expertise and meet up once a month at the local café.
