John Paul College has had an outstanding season in The Associated Schools inter-school sporting competition.
The Associated Schools (TAS) was established nearly 70 years ago and has been a foundation for inter-school sporting competitions for several prestigious Brisbane and surrounding schools.
After many successful years, The Associated Schools changed its structure in 2018 and is now partnered with eight co-educational schools, providing sporting competitions and events to both junior and senior school children.
Over the course of nine weeks, students have gone head-to-head in girl’s football, basketball and tennis, plus boys’ volleyball and cricket teams.
After displaying skill and teamwork, the fantastic young women at John Paul College took home the 2024 trophy and title of TAS Champion Girls Basketball School.
At the beginning of March, the school also held their annual Harmony Round to celebrate the diversity of their school community and were proud to share the record-breaking results their students achieved at the swimming carnival.
With Trimester 2 starting on April 20th, JPC will up the ante to defend the 2023 title of Champion Boys’ Tennis School.
Players, parents, and supporters can also look forward to JPC hosting the much-anticipated Indigenous Round on June 1st.
