Last Tuesday, December 12, Logan East Community Neighbourhood Association (LECNA) distributed over 300 hampers to local community members in need of some help this Christmas.

LECNA was able to make the hampers a reality due to partnerships with many local services, businesses, and community members who attended the Springwood centre to help make a difference in time for Christmas.

LECNA is immensely grateful for the support from Motorama, Lions@Springwood, Logan City Council, Early Years Network, Springwood Road State School, and Springwood Terrace as well as local political members Mick De Brenni MP and, and Hon. Jim Chalmers, Treasurer of Australia.

For their help offered on the day, LECNA would also like to thank Cr Lisa Bradley, Division 10 Cr Miriam Stemp, Candiate for Division 1 Peta Duffy, Planet Fitness, Fishers of Men, Springwood RSL, and Logan Early Years Network.

“I’d like to thank all the businesses and local community members who have made this year’s Hamper Appeal such a success,” said LECNA president Julie Fursey.

“It warms my heart to see the love and compassion being shown to families in our community who need a hand before Christmas.”

LECNA is also thankful to their hardworking staff and the dedicated army of volunteers who worked diligently to plan, prepare, and supervise the distribution of hampers to those in need of help.
