Secondhand Bookshop Bethania played host to the Extraordinary author Carmel Charlesworth on Saturday.
Carmel was in Bethania to sign copies of her books for anyone who made a purchase. At the same time, the winner of the Secondhand Bookshop giveaway, Sue, was also in store to collect her personally signed copy from Carmel.
Sue who is a bibliophile and was completely thrilled as this was the first time she has ever won anything, and it happened to be a book.
Sue loves to read many different genres and encourages her grandchildren to read also.
“You got to read, if you can’t read you don’t learn,” said winner Sue.
Sandra, owner of Secondhand Bookshop Bethania, made a big day of Carmel’s visit as each customer was given a goodie bag full of wonderful offers, discounts to local businesses and more. Of course, there was lots of books to be found however the best experience for all who attended was getting a personalised signed copy of Extraordinary.
This book is a group of extra ordinary people sharing their own journeys of their everyday lives. For some, these amazing stories really show how exceptional these people are but do not see themselves as amazing.
Sandra has extra copies on sale in store or you can also buy a copy of Carmel’s book through Amazon.
Pop into the Secondhand Bookshop Bethania and get yourself and the family some great reads, games and more. Sandra is only too happy to meet and greet you and being MS Readathon month, what a great place to find lots of interesting titles.
