The Logan Chamber of Commerce committee are representatives of Logans business community with most of the volunteer committee owning and working in their own small businesses.

Last night was the chambers Annual General Meeting for 2023 and with it came a change of people who will no embark on their journeys.

Former vice president Arwen McGregor was voted in as the new president for the next 12 months. Arwen is the owner of Devon Pixies café which is located at the Kingston Butter Factory.

The vice president is now Alexis Matthews-Frederick, with the secretary and treasurer now Justine Sandry and Krish Ravipati respectively.

The chambers general committee will see Willem Van Der Merwe, Rhiannon Elton and Janeen Vosper fill these chairs.

The evening event was held at Clarks Logan City Bus Service who are members of the chamber.

“Huge thank you to our exiting committee and thank you so much for all your time and hard work,” said a spokesperson for the chamber.

“It takes many hands to make light work, so we thank you for all that have given us.”

The night was also used to induct new Life Members to the Logan Chamber of Commerce with Reg Clark, founder of Clarks Logan City Bus Service and Stewart Fleming from Stewart Fleming Master Coach both given this honour.

“Thank you, Cr Tony Hall, for running our meeting and thank you to Jon Raven and Bert van Manen MP for your attendance and support,” said the spokesperson.

“We are excited to see what the next year brings. We have lots of plans so watch this space.”
