A former Australian representative indoor volleyball player, rugby player and now rugby league star from Logan will be representing Queensland in the Women’s State of Origin.

Tallisha Harden, primarily a second rower, is an Australian and Queensland representative and previously played for the Brisbane Broncos and Sydney Roosters before signing this year with the North Queensland Cowboys on a one-year contract.

Harden is a proud Torres Strait Islander woman, who grew up in Logan City. She has represented Australia in Indoor Volleyball, Rugby League, Rugby 7s and Rugby 9s.

Tomorrow night, Thursday June 22, Harden will be playing at the Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, her current teams home ground.

Her family have asked anyone in Logan to come down to Logan Sporting Globe bar at the Hyperdome as they will have the game on.

“We encourage all local residents who are passionate about footy and women’s sport to come down and join our family,” said a family representative.

Game 2 of the Women’s State of Origin kicks off at 7:45pm and will be available to watch both on the free-to-air Channel Nine, as well as on the Pay-TV service Foxtel on its Fox League Channel.

Fans will also be able to stream the action free on 9NOW, and on Kayo if they are subscribers.
