This Saturday, 2 September, the suburb of Logan Village will be celebrating turning 160 years old with a huge event in the village green.

The event runs from midday through to 5pm and free tickets are available online via the Logan Village Community Centres Facebook page.

There are going to be plenty of food stalls, activities from yesteryear, entertainment from a local singer and school performances, and lots of different things to do with the family.

There will be a free animal farm, facepainting for the kids, coffee van, and the ladies from the craft cottage will be running Devonshire Teas.

Vintage cars and model trains will also be on site and there will be many fun things to look at and games to participate in.

If you are interested in learning more about the area from over the past 160 years, a book of history has been created full of photos and stories from early settlement to current development of the area in a chronological timeline of events.

You can preorder and collect at the 160th Anniversary or purchase at the book launch.
