Police are investigating after a man was struck by a vehicle at Logan Village in the early hours of this morning.

Around 4.40am police were called after a man who was lying on Hotz Road was struck by a 4WD.

The driver of the vehicle contacted police and rendered assistance to the man.

Despite the efforts of the driver and paramedics, the man sustained critical injuries could not be revived and died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit has begun investigations into the incident and are appealing for dashcam or any witnesses.

Hotz Road is closed at the incident site between Bobermien Road and Gayle Court.
