Residents at Ingenia Lifestyle Bethania have welcomed the opening of the retirement communities newest over 50s clubhouse designed to be another social hub for the growing village community.

Ingenia Communities General Manager Residential Communities Justin Blumfield, staff and residents joined Councillor Tony Hall of Logan City Council to officially unveil the commemorative plaque and open the $3 million clubhouse, eight months after construction started.

Councillor Tony Hall said local amenities like the over 50s clubhouse, that could drive community connection in the City of Logan were important in creating a strong sense of belonging and to attract new people to the area as the city grows.

“It is now more important than ever that people have opportunities to come together, socialise and find themselves surrounded by good neighbours and a community that they feel connected to,” Cr Hall said.

“The concept of a ‘communal hub’ is a fantastic way to build authentic engagement among people and the clubhouse provides an opportunity to cater to the interests and needs of the many different residents who live here.”

“I go though a lot of clubhouses in division six and I think this is just about the best one I’ve actually seen in all of division six.

“This area of my division is very important to me and you’ll notice that I have taken a lot of care into it and Noffke Park to make sure it’s got exercise facilities for you guys and to make sure you’ve got a path that you can actually go down to get there.”

Ingenia Communities General Manager Residential Communities Justin Blumfield said I joined this company because I was really attracted to what we create in the community.

“I came from a shopping centre background and moving to place like Ingenia really excites me and for this to be my first opening is something I’m very proud of.

“I think Ingenia’s investment in communities like this will really help our growing resident population which is 310 residents and 190 homes and by the end of the year will be about 350 residents.

“Investments in clubhouses like this will make sure you all have the size and breadth of facilities you all need to live a great lifestyle.”

The clubhouse offers downsizers a buzzing social space that incorporates a swimming pool, spa, alfresco barbeque area, lawn bowling green, hair salon, community hall, kitchen, bar, library, and media room.
