Saturday afternoon Beenleigh will be filled with floats as far as the eye can see as the Beenleigh Cane Parade comes to town.
Rotary Club of Beenleigh host this social event with the community parade going through the main streets of Beenleigh.
The Parade will feature a variety of floats, cane industry related vehicles, bands and walking groups all starting from George Street at 2pm.
From there it will roll down Main Street, Bellew Street and onto Kent Street before finishing at the Beenleigh Show Grounds for a celebration festival. Rides, food, entertainment, a laser light show, and more will all take place.
There is expected to be large numbers of people so get in early for a good position to see all involved.
Commentating for the 2021 Beenleigh Cane Parade is Chappy Nick Carroll and Grumpy Old Men band member Ray Leon.
“I’m so excited that I will be joining my good friend Ray Leon as a commentator at the Beenleigh Cane Parade 2021,” said Chappy Nick.
The following weekend is the Beenleigh Cane Gala Ball that is also run by Rotary Club of Beenleigh and is supporting The Mini Farm Project that is run at Loganlea State High School.
There are a few tickets left and if you go you can indulge in a delicious meal, connect with members of the community, and help support the Mini Farm’s mission to promote sustainable agriculture and provide fresh, healthy produce to those in need.
