This Saturday, 16 October, the Beenleigh Cane Parade returns to the City of Logan with huge anticipation and excitement from the community.

The Beenleigh Cane Parade sees the Rotary Club of Beenleigh host this social event with the community Parade going through the main streets of Beenleigh.

The Parade will feature a variety of floats, cane industry related vehicles, bands and walking groups all starting from George Street at 10am.

There 52 entries feature everything from farm equipment, racing cars, dance and theatre groups, fire engines and more. There are also pipe bands.

The many floats and community groups will head up George Street and take a left onto City Road before turning onto Alamein Street and finishing at Beenleigh State High School.

Logan’s local radio station, 101FM, will be holding a live outside broadcast from the newly renovated Beenleigh Town Square with DJ Jason Dasey behind the mic.

Commentating for the 2021 Beenleigh Cane Parade is Chappy Nick Carroll and Grumpy Old Men band member Ray Leon.

“I’m so excited that I will be joining my good friend Ray Leon as a commentator at the Beenleigh Cane Parade 2021,” said Chappy Nick.

“Congratulations to the Rotary Club of Beenleigh for bringing this great community event back.”
