It seems the record just keeps spinning as decades after mainstream sellers removed them from ther shelves, they are making a big comeback.
The country’s largest Australian-owned and operated book retailer, QBD Books, is expanding into the music arena for the first time and has announced it will be offering vinyl records in 31 of its stores nationally, following a new partnership with Sony Music.
This includes the addition of Sony vinyls to the in-store range at QBD Books Loganholme and Browns Plains as well as other QBD locations across Australia.
“Our bookstores have become an avenue for associated industries to thrive, and to this end, we’re excited to announce that we are partnering with Sony Music to stock vinyl records in our stores,” commented QBD Books CEO Nicholas Croydon.
“We find that vinyl record consumers and book readers have similar interests, and so for us, the alignment with Sony is a natural fit.”
