The Rotary Club of Logan held the first Mayoral Dinner in over four years with Mayor Darren Power humbled to have the event in his honour.

Holding the event at Diggers Services Club, Rotary Clubs from across Logan and southern Gold Coast came together to celebrate the evening.

The guests included several councillors, business owners and some team members from the Logan Community Bank.

Nick Steiner from The Mini Farm Project told the room about what they do, how they do it and how they are different to other charities.

President Gary from Rotary Club of Logan presented Nick with a Paul Harris Fellow, one of the highest recognitions available in Rotary.

But the night was all about Mayor Power and his speech was personal and political and very interesting to hear who the man behind the position is.

“Last night was a very humble experience for me sharing a little bit about myself my 26 years as an elected representative of Logan Council and the challenges that I have experienced as Mayor with Rotary Club of Logan,” said Mayor Power.

“A big thank you to the committee that organised the night.”

What Mayor Power said in his speech, will be for those who were there to remember and enjoy.
